The ideal tour if you only want to visit the volcanic region of Lanzarote or don’t have enough time to spend a whole day out and about.
The first stop is at the Camel Park, where you can take a ride up the side of a volcano on one of these desert dwelling animals. Lots of fun for all ages and a great opportunity to take some photos. Then you’ll visit the Timanfaya National Park, located in the epicenter of the volcanic activity that transformed Lanzarote into its current form three hundred years ago.
There are dozens of peaks and craters and amazing vistas, all in pristine condition. As well as a restaurant built over a dormant volcano, a gift shop and several experiments to demonstrate just how hot the earth is under its crust.
The final stop takes you into the wine region of La Geria, where you can see how innovative methods of vine cultivation have allowed local farmers to create their own Lanzarote wines in the middle of the volcanic countryside. Obviously, this also gives you an opportunity to sample some of the wines produced on the island before you’re returned to your accommodation for lunch at around 2.00pm.
