LANZAROTE HIGHLIGHTS TOUR

This is an ideal trip for visitors who only have time for one day of touring, as it takes in the most popular attractions on the island, in both the north and the south.

The first stop on the itinerary is the Timanfaya National Park – the volcanic landscape that is the number one attraction on Lanzarote. This is where the longest eruptions occurred in the 1730’s, creating the unique crater formations you will get to see close up on the bus tour around the park. You will also be able to watch the demonstrations of the earth’s thermal heat just below the surface, as the park attendants use water and hay to create steam and fire.

The coach will then take you across the island, giving you the opportunity to sightsee the amazingly different landscape of Lanzarote as you travel northwards to the next attraction at the Mirador del Rio. Before heading on to the Green Caves or La Cueva de Los Verdes - which is an underground attraction, with a tour along the dried out lava tunnel that flowed from the huge volcano, Monte Corona, at the northern tip of the island.

This is only one half of the story however, as the tunnel continues and has been turned into the beautiful attraction at Jameos del Agua, just over the road from the Cueva de Los Verdes. Almost beyond description, this spot combines an incredible hanging garden, music auditorium, restaurant and café.
