Tourists can take their choice of live music this Saturday 23rd July. With two free music events taking place in Puerto del Carmen and Arrecife. 'Rockink' is being staged at the Playa de los Pocillos in Puerto del Carmen, whilst the 'Arrecife 40 Pop' music festival will be taking place in the capital on the beach at Playa El Reducto.

The line-up for Rockink includes a number of leading local bands, such as The Skatoons, Zombie Love, Rory and the Island, The Usual Suspects and 21 Razones.

The festival kicks off at 15.00 in the afternoon and goes on until the early hours of the morning. Apart from live music, there will also be face painting for kids, food and drink stalls and tattoo and henna artists ready to offer their services. All the action takes place around the Plaza de las Naciones on the seafront by the beach at Los Pocillos.

Meanwhile, later in the evening in Arrecife, the 'Arrecife 40 Pop' gets underway from 21.00 at the Playa del Reducto, just in front of the Gran Hotel.

Most of the artists appearing here are Spanish groups from the mainland, such as BNK, Zenttric, Despistados and Preciados. Accompanying them on stage are local Lanzarote groups such as Lanzarote Got Talent, Chocolate Sexy and Fashion School. This event kicks off at 21.00 and is totally free.
