This Saturday, 3rd September, head for the island's main resort of Puerto del Carmen to enjoy the Beach Festival which is taking place at the Plaza de las Naciones on the seafront by Los Pocillos. The event is a free music festival with various competitions and workshops planned to run alongside the entertainment.

The event gets underway at 10.00 in the morning and will continue until 02.00 on Sunday morning. Numerous local DJ's and groups are planned to appear, including Lanzarote Got Talent, Flecha Maldita, DJ Char D and Brando Morales. The day's entertainment is being organized by Urban House, Lanzarote Music Records and Chola Records, in conjunction with the Ayuntamiento of Tias.

Activities such as beach football, basketball and workshops for body painting and graffiti art will also form part of the day's events. With exhibitions planned from Xtreme Up, Destroy Art and Volkhan Squad as well fashion parades and plenty of activities for children, there should be something to entertain anyone who attends
