Jazz Funk Sounds of The Cool Trance in Tias
Fans of musical greats such as Sly and the Family Stone and Herbie Hancock are in for a treat this weekend as recently formed jazz funk quartet The Cool Trance will be performing live at the Municipal Theatre in Tias this coming Friday the 28th of September.
The Cool Trance hail from Madrid and comprise Michael Goyanes on drums, Carlos Gomez on bass, Ricardo Padilla on keyboards and Lucas de Mulder on guitar. They take their inspiration from the golden age of 70´s and 80´s jazz funk, drawing heavily on influences such as George Benson (with a track entitled Benson dedicated to the famous guitarist), Donald Byrd and Lonnie Liston Smith.
The Cool Trance will be live on stage from 21.00 and tickets for the event cost just €5 per person and are available from the Municipal Theatre in Tias an hour before the show.
