MASDANZA, the Canaries International Festival of Contemporary Dance, gets on the good foot once again this coming Friday the 30th of October. Featuring an eclectic mix of companies and troupes from around the world, including Taiwan, South Korea and the UK.

MASDANZA took its first steps back in 1996 on Gran Canaria and will be visiting Lanzarote for the fourth consecutive year.

The UK contingent comprises British based choreographer Dam Van Huyhn and the baleirina Ieva Navickaite, who will be performing a piece entitled Dep, which has been inspired by Michael Fokine´s classic La muerte del cisne. And the Festival will close with Po-Cheng Tsai´s, Floating Flowers, which pays homage to the Buddhist Festival of the Spirits.

MASDANZA in being staged at Lanzarote´s Teatro Insular in Arrecife, from 21.00. Tickets for the event cost €10 and can be bought online from the Cultural Lanzarote website.
