Eleven local bands will be bringing their beats to the streets of Teguise on March 19th as the island’s former capital plays host to its third annual music showcase.

This eleven hour mini marathon of music boats three separate stages, which will be located in the Plaza de San Francisco, Plaza de la Constitucion and the Plaza de Maciot de Bethencourt.

And locally based groups such as Gargantua and Tokio Revolver (who recently supported international folk-sters Red Beard at MIAC) will be battling it out for a raft of awards, including studio time and a closing slot at the prestigious Sonidos Liquidos Festival later this year under the watchful eye of promoters from prestigious live events such as WOMAD and Seville´s Monkey Week.

The event is designed to showcase the best emerging musical talent locally and gets underway from midday in Teguise´s Plaza de la Constitucion.
