There are no shortage of diverse endurance events on Lanzarote, such as the annual Wine Run in La Geria, which somehow manages to blend athletics with alcohol. But few offer as much fun for the whole family as the Music Marathon, which is taking place this coming Saturday March 19th in Puerto del Carmen. 

The Music Marathon is a running festival for entrants of all ages and fitness levels – but with the added bonus of live music events staged all along the course, as well as a post race party at the finish line. And it attracts an eclectic mix of entrants, some of whom choose to run in rock related fancy dress!

This year’s new course starts and finishes at the Plaza de Los Naciones in Los Pocillos, just outside the island’s main resort of Puerto del Carmen. And the event gets underway from 14.00, culminating in a concert and festival featuring local artists from 18.45.
