The former island capital of Teguise plays host to Lanzarote´s second annual Erotic Hall of Culture event on October 14th and 15th, featuring a wide array of live performers and entertainment in the Carpa Municipal. Entry is priced at 7 euros for one day or 10 euros for two and the event runs from 18.00 until 01.00.

Amongst the main attractions are the burlesque performer Sonia Baby who is, apparently, "recognized internationally as the best vaginal acrobat” and top pole dancer Chiqui Martí. But the event is also about improving public awareness on all matters erotic whilst also raising money for local AIDS charities, with 20% of the admission price being donated to Friends Against Aids.

Local bars and restaurants are also planning to serve specially themed menus. The organisers are at pains to stress that the event is not pornographic in content, as their objective is to create a unique festival in the Canaries that can stand alongside similar events that already run successfully in other Spanish destinations such as Barcelona and Murcia. As well as in other European cities such as Berlin.
