Tourists keen to explore the more traditional traits of the Canaries should head to Arrecife on March 4th as the island capital plays host to the third annual edition of the Canarian Festival of Traditional Music and Dance.

The Festival is designed to promote traditional Canarian folklore through the mediums of melody, dance and costume and provides visitors with a fascinating insight into the shared cultural identity of the seven islands that comprise the archipelago.

Seven separate folklore groups - one representing each island - will perform three songs each in a show that is expected to run for two and a half hours. All of which will take place Parque Islas Canarias from 20.00 on March 4th. Admission is free of charge.
