Crackers for cheese? Then spread the word - as the 5th annual Cheese and Goat Fair is taking place this coming weekend in Playa Blanca.

Lanzarote produces some top quality goats cheeses - and visitors can savour a slice of the action this coming Saturday and Sunday as some thirty stalls will be dispensing and selling samples of their finest creations, alongside show cooking demos, workshops, wine tastings and live music.

The event gets underway on Saturday 11th from 18.30 with a mature cheese tasting before chef Rafa Parro from the restaurant La Oliva demonstrates how to create a goats cheese lasagne with won ton pasta. And continues on Sunday from 11.30 until 3pm with a wide selection of show cooking demos and more live music.

All of the action takes place in the Avenida Maritima in Playa Blanca, right on the seafront in the heart of the resort.
