The Teatro El Salinero in Arrecife plays host to the uplifting vocal talents of the Spirit of New Orleans Gospel Group this coming Friday, December 1st. With tickets still available online priced at €20.

This American ensemble unites the Joyful Gospel Singers with the soloist Charmaine Neville (daughter of one of the world famous Neville Brothers) and the renowned pianist Amassa Miller. Resulting in a big, funky gospel sound heavy on the sort of street rhythms and urban R&B urban influences prevalent in southern US cities such as New Orleans. Indeed, the Joyous Gospel Singers have worked previously with artists such as Thelma Houston, Yolanda Adams and Earth, Wind & Fire.

The event is part of the wider Gospel Canarias Festival, which is now in its twelth year and which features a wide range of artists performing across the archipelago during the course of December - you can view more information about the Festival here.
