The Cuban born jazz percussionist Michael Olivera performs live at MIAC this coming Thursday, July 12th..

Born in Santa Clara and trained at the Havana National Art School Michael Olivera is one of the most eminent jazz drummers on the scene today, having forged collaborations with big names such as Quincy Jones and Sting.

Now based in Spain, the Michael Olivera Group boast a cool and breezy latin sound on their most recent album release, Ashe, whilst also paying homage to jazz greats such as John Coltrane and more contemporary influences from the world of hip hop.

They will be live on stage at the Musem of International and Contemporary Art in Arrecife from 21.00 and tickets are still available via the Cultura Lanzarote website priced from 15 euros.
