Saborea Lanzarote, the island’s annual Food and Wine Festival, serves up a slice of local culinary culture this weekend….

Now in its ninth year, this showcase of both contemporary and traditional Canarian cuisine takes place in the former island capital of Teguise on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th of November. And much like an expanding waistline it just seems to get bigger every year, as hundreds of producers, artisans, local growers, restaurants, Michelin starred chefs, bodegas and agribusinesses convene in Teguise’s cobbled streets for what has now become the largest annual gastro-fest in the Canaries.

This year’s event includes a special Saborea Canarias show cooking corner where visitors can take inspiration from nine restaurants, drawn from each island in the archipelago. As well as a Canarian Product House, which will be based in the Museo del Timple (formerly the Palacio Spinola).
