These unique luxury eco yurts sleeps two guests each and have a private south facing terrace which is fenced and gated with wooden sunbeds, barbecue and teak furniture for al fresco dining with mountain views. There is a shared shower room, shared covered kitchen and lounge area nearby. The Yurts are from Mongolia where they live in this style of house throughout the year and is draft free, snug and extremely comfortable. Its interior temperature stays at a comfortable level and there is a central skylight for ventilation and star gazing. In the smaller pod, there is a single bed that can pull out to become a double bed. The larger pod has a large double bed and can also accommodate a single z-bed or child's cot.
The yurts are part of the prestigious 30,000 square metre estate of "Finca de Arrieta" and its guests have full use of the solar heated 10 metre pool and chill out area which is ideal for relaxing and entertaining alike. The pool area boasts sea/mountain views, mature gardens and a Polynesian style day bed. You also have a large covered area where there is a second kitchen, further dining table with seating for eight guests, authentic Moroccan floor seating and toilet/shower room. This area is spacious and has a hard wood floor, a perfect place to read a book or enjoy a meal.
The area was originally farming land and has two natural wells on site, there are mature exotic gardens including fruit trees such as mango, banana, guava, lime etc (a bonus if you are here at the right season!) There is also a variety of other garden produce such as potatoes, tomatoes and basil, all of which guests are welcome to help themselves to! Today the estate runs on wind and solar power and is a unique example of sustainable living, there are two wind turbines and 30 solar panels and we ask guests to be aware of and consider their energy consumption during their stay! The Finca is partly walled using stones from the land, it has a childrens play area which includes childrens play park, sand football pitch, trampoline and the resident donkey "Mollie". There is also an added bonus of farm eggs every morning from our free range hens.
